CT Baker Group has confirmed that it will open a temporary store in Holt on Monday 23 November 2020, after a fire destroyed its Budgens of Holt supermarket in June.
The store, which is approximately 5,000sq ft in size and situated on the car park at Kerridge Way, will open to customers at 10.30am on Monday 23 November and will then open from 7am until 9pm, Monday to Saturday and 10am – 4pm on Sunday.
It is anticipated the temporary store will operate all the while a permanent replacement for the supermarket is built on the site of the former store, subject to planning permission.
Jane Gurney-Read, Managing Director for CT Baker Group, said: “We cannot wait to open the doors to our temporary Budgens of Holt store on Monday 23 November!
“The Budgens of Holt team are looking forward to welcoming back our customers who have shown us so much support in the months since we lost our store in such terrible circumstances.
“I would also like to thank Mar-Key and Fit Out UK for working so quickly to get our store up and running. It has, without question, been a challenging year, but we are determined as a team to end it on a positive note and are looking forward to being at the heart of Holt’s community once more.”
Budgens of Holt’s home delivery service, which currently serves more than 110 customers per week, will continue to operate from the Group’s Budgens of Aylsham store and Holt’s Post Office will remain situated at Bakers & Larners of Holt while the temporary store remains open.
